Although some cats, especially those who have been rescued, prefer to be given space during my visits, the majority really enjoy play and/or grooming sessions.  I find that the older cats in particular really benefit from a good brush as sometimes it has become more difficult for them to groom themselves.  Grooming is important for cleanliness and general health.  Of course play is usually the priority for kittens and younger cats.  It’s always fun to interact with them, knowing how important exercise and stimulation are to their happiness and development.  Most cats feel secure and content when cared for in their own home, and it’s always a pleasure to provide the affection and attention they need.
